My work tends towards the dreamy and sublime; I am interested in the surreal in the commonplace. With every image I like to try and realize a sort of waking sleep; a fantasy made of our day to day moments. I have always been the child looking out the window and daydreaming during class and my work tries to give this perspective to others.
My current work,Belle Epoque, is a collection of mixed media paintings that attempt to explore the mysterious beauty of the turn of the century. The work touches the gentle, innocent and sensual aspects of women from the Edwardian Era, while trying to place this beauty into a contemporary context.
