COMIC BOOK CREATORS, FILMMAKERS, AND MUSICIANS CONVERGE ON NOVEMBER’S SECOND SATURDAY, COWTOWN COMIX FEST AFTER-PARTY!

Saturday, November 12, 7:00pm-11:00pm, at Wazee Union, 3501 Wazee St, Denver, CO, Comic book creators assemble at the monthly Second Saturday event for Cowtown Comix Fest’s after party. Admission is free.

 November’s Second Saturday, Cowtown After Party event at Wazee Union will feature artwork from Colorado based comic book creators, and works additional talents.  Live music performed by the Construct, and exclusive new previews of upcoming features from Crazy Horse Studios will be presented.

Local comic book creators like Stan Yan, Karl Krumpholz, Kevin Gentilcore and other fantastic talents will be displaying their works in the 23,000 sq ft studio facility.  Artists of various disciplines including wood burning artist/filmmaker Daniel Crosier (featured in Travel Channel’s Making Monsters) will have works displayed.

The Construct band nimbly pushes the boundaries of what punk and indie rock can be as it mates aggressive, fiery songs with lonely, contemplative material. Instead of opting for a traditional band, the group has evolved as a two-piece act delivering a powerful performance, and is even known for performing out of their transforming venue/box-truck. www.theconstructband.com

Crazy Horse Studios is a local film and animation studio that will be showcasing teasers for the superhero mockumentary Isolation Man (co-directed by Daniel Crosier & Dane Bernhardt), a documentary featuring Colorado based comic book creators also from Bernhardt & Cuyler Mortimore.  Fellow Crazy Horse talent, and director Stephen Santa Cruz will also present a trailer for his finished feature Colfax & 15th.  www.crazyhorsestudios.com, www.colfax15th.com.

Cowtown Comix Fest is an annual event celebrating independent comics from across the Rocky Mountain region at the Tivoli on the Metropolitan State College of Denver campus, from 10am to 6pm.
